Holy shit Jack works far from home
So Jack just called me from ebay in San Jose. They just had a strong earthquake (6.5). Centered in San Simeon, it didn't even reach San Francisco. This is a weird world we live in that people can live and work so far apart that earthquakes don't affect both places.

I felt it in Emeryville. Check out the USGS quakemap:

I was at the grocery store trying to decide what eggs to buy and all of a sudden I felt really dizzy and then I felt like I was swaying. This is not a normal occurrence for me so I looked up and everyone else looked all normal going about thier shopping and I couldn't help it. I said, "does anyone else feel that?" and then the guy next to me said "Yep look the lights are swaying." It was a little surreal, but fun.
We also have British people working at the Ranch and today they experience their first earthquake.
