On the air

For anyone who's interested, I'll be the DJ on KAXL 90.7 on Thursday March 25th from 3:30AM to 6AM. If you can't sleep or something, you could tune in and hear me bumble around at the bottom of a learning curve.

You can listen over the internet as well. Or call in to bother me at 510-642-KALX.

UPDATE : So the show went ok, lots of mistakes, but that's life. You can listen to it here (login req.). Enjoy.

Cool. I will call in and scream obscenities over the air so the FCC will kick you off.

I really hope you're all asleep, cause I am going to wish that I was.

I'll be honest with you, the DJ on before you had perhaps the most agitating radio voice I have ever heard in my life. You could probably have gotten on the air and imitated someone vomiting, and after that guy I'd have liked it just fine.

But I knew after the first 9-minute, static-filled, tuneless, rhythmless song that Gene was now at the helm of this fine ship.

Go on with your bad self.

oh my god i'm so glad it's over.
i'm going to go die now.

Sadly, I missed the show. Why was it so bad? How could the idm be the bad?

Posted by: Jacob at March 25, 2004 10:07 AM

I didn't think it was bad at all, and the IDM was kept to a tolerable level. You've got to mess up a little the first time, right? Besides, Gene has a nice voice for radio. I say do it again sometime.
