I did my show on KALX this morning. This week is the yearly fundraiser week where we try to get people to donate to cover our costs. Johnny Savage came on the show with me and we did that thing you see people on KQED do, ya know pledge drive stuff. Well, let me put it in perspective. Last night I answered phones for the 6pm-9pm show, a good timeslot, and we got 5 calls and 500 bucks. This was somewhat slow. This morning, Johnny and I got 17 donations totally $1,100. I'm flabergasted. I was so worried that it'd would just be dead because it's so early. Props to Johnny for doing a stellar job though. It was also a ton of fun.

wow, congratulations. i guess people are really responding to your morning zoo. just think how much you would have gotten if you’d gone with *my* idea for a dj name. dj finger proof. now there is a name.
He is a alternative college radio superstar, porn actor, UK rock historian or US actor, take your pick.
In the case of 10/26 (Wed), it is the first choice.
